The connection between medicine and computer science is not always obvious, but computer science has huge applications in the field of medicine. This relationship has facilitated the delivery of health services.

Before people carried out the examination with the help of special equipment. The results of such surveys were in paper form, which were processed and only after these stages were conclusions drawn. Data analysis took a very long time, and the results were not always accurate. Data was stored in paper form and could be lost in case of poor organization.

Thanks to the influence of computer science in the medical field, the speed of data analysis, as well as the efficiency of medical equipment, has increased significantly.

In medical research large number of data is collected. This data has to be compiled, analyzed and interpreted. For this purpose, certain statistical methods are applied, these include calculation of standard deviation, standard error, application of tests of statistical significance. Statistical methods take a lot of time and knowledge. Through the use of computer technology, it has become easier to analyze a large amount of data and announce the result.

Diagnostics and data collection performed using special computer equipment. Such as MRI scan (Magnetic resonance imaging), CT (computer tomography).

The next step is to analyze the collected data. Finally, to make the conclusion of the research result.

Already, devices such as smartwatches or fitness bracelets, which collect data about our condition, can help improve the quality and lifestyle, and even call an ambulance in emergencies, have become densely embedded in our lives. Many areas of medicine have long remained closed precisely because of the complexity of the computations that are available with modern computers. And now doctors around the world are able to carry out the most complex operations, relying not only on their own strength, knowledge and experience, but also on an electronic assistant who will eliminate possible errors or inaccuracies in their work. We are in the field of artificial intelligence, which is already being applied in many areas of life. In medicine, you can also find many uses for it. From more accurate diagnoses to complex operations without the participation of a doctor. Artificial intelligence and neural networks, in combination with wearable gadgets to control our bodies, are able to determine the disease much faster than the person himself, stopping abnormalities at an early stage.

And this is just the beginning, in the future era of quantum computers, the possibilities of computer technologies in medicine will increase exponentially. thanks to informatics, more and more accurate algorithms for data analysis will be created, as well as new equipment that will greatly facilitate the examination of patients. And who knows, perhaps in the medicine of the future computers will completely replace doctors, eliminate the human factor and help prolong our life for many years.

To sum up, the time for research and analysis of patient data is reduced due to the application of computer science. Computer science is an important tool in the medical field.
